Mental Health Awareness
It is officially May, and Mental Health Awareness Month! There's broad recognition of the importance of holistic health, which includes understanding how to maintain mental well-being. So, what is mental health?
According to the SAMHSA, “Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, and helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.”
Based on this explanation, there are three major components of our mental wellbeing:
How we feel.
How we think.
How we connect.
As we focus this month on bringing awareness to mental health, let’s take this opportunity to explore what enhances our well-being. Here are some questions to help get the process started:

Who do I look forward to spending time with?
When do I feel most at ease?
